Pickled Curry Beans

FoodA friend at work gave me a bag of runner beans from her garden. Needless to say, they magically turned into pickled curry beans.
If you live in South Africa and you've never eaten curry beans, you don't live in South Africa. I also like bottling, so here is my method for bottling +- 3 kg of fresh beans.
Ingredients
2 kg fresh green beans
1 kg onion
3 cups (750 ml) white vinegar
3 cups (750 ml) white sugar
3 tablespoons (45 ml) curry powder
2 tablespoons (30 ml) turmeric
1 tablespoon (15 ml) salt
½ cup (125 ml) cornflour
